MajiPlus Water Meter

Introduction

The MajiPlus® is an advanced and highly accurate ultrasonic prepaid water meter and data end-point for residential applications. With no moving parts, the MajiPlus® robust design ensures reliable and long lasting precision.

Its technology enables the measurement of even the lowest flow rates, making it the best solution for addressing NRW. The MajiPlus® is fully IoT compatible – ready to meet the challenges of tomorrow’s smart water networks.

The Brief

The MajiPlus® has a measurement range of R250/R400. It measures the lowest flow rates (down to 6 l/h) yet will also provide outstanding performance above the maximum flow rate. Its a data collection end-point device coupled with a two-way radio, providing the foundation for a reliable and scalable AMI network, ready for any future application or challenge.

• Installation in any position
• No air measuring
• Indifferent to sand and particles in the flow
• Bi-directional flow measurement

Our Approach

The MajiPlus® has no moving parts, presents an IP68 register, and its body is fabricated from durable PPS composite. This robust design makes the MajiPlus® maintenance-free and highly precise throughout its exceptional 6-years battery operated life span.

The measuring mechanism in the MajiPlus® meters offers a broad measurement range, is very precise and achieves a level of intrinsic error close to 0% across the entire operating range. The high stability of the measurements throughout the lifespan of the meter improves the reliability of the water distribution data. These features open the way for new services, such as the detection and characterization of leaks in the water distribution network.

The Results

With R400 rating and starting flow of 6 l/h, MajiPlus® is a powerful solution for addressing NRW – detecting leaks, physical water losses as well as improving consumer’s awareness and satisfaction.

Increased revenue with Prepaid & registration of previously un- metered water. With the capability of transmitting information at a density of every 15 minutes it can be considered a near real-time informer.

This data-rich sensor contributes important information to support decision making at the grid
management level, as well as for on-site analysis.
